A delicious, healthy and easy to make sauce that will perfectly compliment all you Mediterranean meals. We love it with pita sandwiches, kebabs, grilled vegetables, hearty salads and so much more. This sauce is creamy without mayo, has a base of plain yogurt, tahini, a little garlic and jalepeno for a little heat.
Herbed Tahini Sauce
- 3 tablespoons tahini
- ½ cup plain yogurt, any style will do
- 1 ½ cups mixed herbs I used cilantro, dill and parsley
- ½ -1 jalepeno, sliced
- 2 fat cloves garlic
- ½ cup lemon juice
- kosher sea salt and cracked black pepper as needed.
Mince the garlic in a food processor. Next add all the remaining Ingredients. Blend well (the herbs should be well minced). Taste to check if you need to adjust any seasoning. Blend until smooth( add a little water to thin out if needed). Transfer to a clean jar and use up within a week.
