These raw hemp protein bars don’t necessarily look as appealing as other protein bars, but are very tasty and satisfying with healthy fats, complex and natural carbohydrates and plant protein. Perfect for post workout or after school snack (once the kids get over the color).
Hemp Protien bars
Dry stuff
6 tablespoons rolled oats ground into a coarse powder
2 tablespoons hemp seeds
3 tbsps ground flaxseeds
1 cup hemp Protien powder or ground up hemp hearts
Moist stuff
8-10 plump dates more if you like it sweeter
3/4 cup almond butter
2 tablespoons organic cold pressed coconut oil
1 inch piece ginger
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Run the moist ingredients in a food processor by pulsing it a few times then blending it to a smooth paste. Add the dry ingredients and mix very well kneading if necessary to evenly distribute. Dump the mixture into a pan (11* 8) approximately and using the palm of your hand press down evenly and spread it into a square about 1 inch thick. Keep refrigerated for 1 hour to set and firm up. Using a knife gently cut into 3-4 inch bars. Enjoy!
Best kept in the fridge and eat with 10 days to 2 weeks.
