A delicious fun iced latte thats creamy and has that earthy tahini taste. This Japanese latte became my favorite after I had it for the first time in Tokyo. I make it every now and then when I feel the need to switch up my usual smoothie or matcha beverage. Did I mention I am addicted to wellness lattes and smoothies and most morning that is my breakfast Its fast, healthy and a great alternative to caffeinated drinks . Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
INGREDIENTS
Makes 2 lattes
- 1 ¼ cup plant milk, almond or oats
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 2-3 tablespoons black sesame seeds
- 2-3 large soft dates pitted
- 1 teaspoon coconut manna, (butter) optional
- ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp ground cardamom
DIRECTIONS
- Blend all the ingredients plus half the ice in a high-powered blender. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more dates (or a bit of honey if desired) until it’s sweetened to your liking.
- Fill a glass with the remaining ice and pour the latte over. Sprinkle with black sesame seeds if desired.
- Enjoy immediately.
