For Christmas I was down in L.A for a break, and every coffee shop or health food shop we went I found moon milk on the menu. Moon milk became popular a few years ago as a health beverage infused with herbs, flowers, spices and adaptogens.
Turmeric latte or haldi ka doodh, an Ayurvedic healing beverage very popular in India. What started off with turmeric in the west has now extended to all sorts of fruit, flower, vegetables flavors, spices and adaptogens infused in their beverage. This recipe is made with Pitaya fruit powder along with cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg and lightly sweetened if needed. Its a delicious non caffeine beverage specially in the winter, add some spiced warmth, nutrients and pretty pink color without the extra boost of caffeine. Enjoy.
